Common questions

What is Global Nexus Education?

Global Nexus is the core early-years programme used across the Global Star School campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, for children from 6 months to 6 years. It rests on three principles — liberal-arts bilingualism, real experiential learning and whole-child development across six dimensions. This site explains the curriculum in English for educators, partners and parents who want to understand it in depth.

How do Vietnamese and English work together in the classroom?

Both languages are used in everyday activities as tools for thinking and communicating, not as subjects to translate between. Children are not pushed to speak before they are ready and do not learn from flashcard drills; they hear and use language around real tasks — a meal, a project, a game.

Does Global Nexus replace Vietnam's national preschool programme?

No. Preschools in Vietnam work within the national preschool education programme issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, and Global Nexus is taught alongside it. What the curriculum shapes is how the day is lived: how the two languages are organised, how projects are built, how children are observed.

How are children assessed?

Through observation rather than tests. Teachers keep notes, photographs and samples of work, and build each child's development record over time. There are no scores, no rankings and no comparisons between children; progress is described in words and shared with families.

I am a parent. How do I visit or enrol?

Tours and enrolment are arranged by Global Star School through globalstarschool.com, where each campus has its own page and form. Families relocating to Ho Chi Minh City will find practical guidance at globalstar.school.
